Process of getting thawte SSL certificate:

First, you must generate CSR from your server and submit it to thawte for verification.
Once the CSR and domain verification is completed and when satisfied, thawte signs that request file, using the trusted thawte CA root key and will issue certificate.
This certificate has to be installed in the server where your website runs and this completes the process.

If you are customer of Silicon House, you do not have to do the above steps as it will completed from our side.

256-bit SSL encryption:

thawte’s SSL123 certificates are capable of providing 256-bit encryption – the current industry standard.
With thawte, is a “root” certification authority, this means that thawte is not reliant on another entity’s root infrastructure to deliver trusted SSL certificates to its customers.

Information displayed in a SSL123 Certificate:

When you install a SSL123 Certificate on your server, your customers will be able to view the following information;

The domain to which the certificate was issued.
The validity dates of the certificate.

Pricing:

Installing SSL certificates requires dedicated ip for the website. Hence SSL certificates will include two components;

1. Thawte SSL123 Certificate - Rs.2750 per annum
2. Dedicated Ip - Rs. 1200 per annum
