Media Streaming

To do a live streaming or web casting there are three phases

1. Capturing the live event via camera or a valid video output source such as mixer etc.
2. Laptop or desktop with internet connectivity and video encoder
3. Arrow Media Streaming Server and Arrow media streaming player

Capturing the Live Event:

Any standard video camera can capture a live event. Recent video cameras have USB compatibility or connectivity to a lap top or desk top using other devices. The USB Grabber is a device that comes with S-Video and RCA Input. This enables you to connect camera out to RCA and RCA to Laptop or Desktop using USB Grabber. These will be detected by the encoder for streaming. If your laptop or desk top has PCMCIA slot, the Firewire 6Pin / 4 Pin with 2 USB’s PCMCIA cards can be used. The camera is connected to DV (4Pin) input connected to 6 Pin Available in the PCMCIA card.

Laptop / Desktop with Video Encoder:

Laptop or Desktop with internet connectivity and Video Encoder is required to receive the video out put from the camera or the video source and encode it. Once encoded, it will be streamed to the Arrow Media Streaming Server.

Arrow Media Streaming Server and Media Streaming Player:

Silicon House uses Arrow Streaming Server environment which is built on a high end, high bandwidth platform. Arrow Media Streaming Servers are pre-hardened and fine tuned for peak load performances.
