How to restart services in WHM?

CHKSERVD Service is an in-built monitoring tool with cPanel. It monitors other services running on the server. You can assign the services to the chkservd service that need to be monitored. If the services monitored by chkservd is found down, it will try to restart that service and will also notify the admin of the server by sending Email alerts.

The Web Host Manager (WHM) provides an option that allows you to reset services without having to use Shell access. You can use the graphical interface restart the follow services:

1.DNS Server
2.FTP SErver (ProFTPd/PureFTPd)
3.HTTP Server (Apache)
4.IMAP Server
5.Mail Server (Exim
6.Mailing List Manager (Mailman)
7.SQL Server (MySQL)
8.SSH server (OpenSSH)

Using WHM to Restart Services on your Web Server

1.Log in to the WHM Interface
2.search menu In the search field in the top left corner type Restart Services.
3.Services that can be restarted This will bring you to the Restart Services section of WHM.
4.Confirm the restart Click on the service that you need to restart. You will see a confirmation screen appear and this will be the one chance to cancel the restart. Remember that you should only restart the service if needed.
