How do I manage Demo Mode in WHM?

Silicon House- Reseller Web Hosting : Linux has Web Hosting Manager Control Panel [ WHM ] to manage key functions such as adding domain name, create web hosting packages, edit dns, view bandwidth and disk usage etc for all the domains under your reseller hosting account.It also having functions to manage demo mode for any cPanel account.

The following procedure gives the steps to manage demo mode in WHM,

1.Login to Web Host Manager as a root

2.Click on the “Account Functions” icon.

3.Click on the “Manage Demo Mode” sub-icon.

4.Select the account which you want to enable demo account and click the “Modify” button.

5.Click the “Enable” button.

6.Click the “Disable” button if you want to disable this feature.

Why we need demo mode in WHM?

1.This feature allows you to convert any cPanel account on your server to a demo account in which we can give to the clients with a demo cPanel account so that the users can log into the account and browse.

2.It restricts the users from making live changes to the website.

3.The demo account appears to be fully functional but restricts the user’s ability to alter files and folders.

4.It is commonly used as a sales tool for showing the appearance of their control panels to their clients.
