How to update latest cPanel & WHM software in linux server?

Kindly follow the below procedure to update your cPanel & WHM software:

1. If you wish to force a reinstallation of the software, regardless of whether WHM detects that your system is up-to-date, select the appropriate checkbox. This can be useful if corrupt files exist and you wish to reinstall them
2. Click Click to Upgrade.

You can also perform the below steps to update latest  cPanel & WHM software via SSH :

1.Log into your server via SSH as the root user.

2.Run the following command in your shell instance
/scripts/upcp

3.Allow some time for the update to complete. After successful upgrade you will get the message “Completed all updates”

 

Types of Tiers :

LTS

Long-Term Support. If you do not wish to upgrade cPanel & WHM, you can select a cPanel & WHM version for as long as cPanel supports it.

STABLE

This version has received testing, and verification.

RELEASE

This version is feature-complete and well tested. It contains all intended features and functionality. New installations default to RELEASE.

CURRENT

This version is tested and verified, but it may not contain all of the proposed functionality of a release. This tier is similar to the “release candidate” tier used under other publication schemes.

EDGE

This version only has rudimentary testing. The features are subject to further modification. This version usually lacks official public documentation.

Daily Updates

Use this menu to select how you want cPanel & WHM to update. You can choose from the following options:

(i)Automatic – Select this option if you want cPanel & WHM to automatically update through a cron job every night at midnight.
(ii)Manual Updates Only -Select this option if you wish to manually update cPanel & WHM.
(iii)Never Update – Select this option if you do not want cPanel & WHM to update.
