How to install SSL certificates for a domain in plesk control panel ?

Windows dedicated server has plesk control panel . You can install SSL certificates in windows dedicated server via plesk control panel. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a standard security protocol for establishing encrypted links between a web server and a browser in an online communication.

Procedure

Install SSL certificates for domain in Plesk Onyx Windows Dedicated Server Hosting

[1] Access your control panel at https://www.yourdomain.com:8443

The control panel url starts with https:// and not http.

[a] You must have port 8443 access enabled in your internet connection to access this control panel. Usually it is enabled, but if you are in a network and if your are not able to access this, please contact your network admin and enable this port.

[2] Supply the user name & password provided by Silicon House.

Give the correct user name and password .

[3] Click on subscriptions

[4] Click on subscription name

[5] Click on SSL/TLS Certificates under Website and Domains

[6] If you created a certificate signing request on this server and received the certificate file, upload it using Upload the certificate here

[7] If you want to upload a certificate and private key pair generated on a different server, or generate a self-signed certificate, click Add SSL/TLS Certificate

[8] After adding an SSL/TLS certificate to a domain, you need to enable SSL/TLS support and select that certificate in the website hosting settings: Websites & Domains > Hosting Settings of this domain > Security

[9] Under Add SSL/TLS Certificate, provide the below details.

Certificate name *
Bits *
Country *
State or province *
Location (city) *
Organization name (company) *
Organization department or division name
Domain name *
Email *

Private key (*.key) *
Certificate (*.crt) *
CA certificate (*-ca.crt)

[10] Click on Upload Certificate
