How to block or allow IP address via Plesk control panel ?

In Windows reseller web hosting you can restrict access to Plesk by either blocking selected IP addresses, or by blocking all IP addresses and only allowing selected IP addresses access.

[1] Login to Plesk control panel as administrator

[2] Click on Tool & Settings in Server Management Menu

[3] Click the Restrict Administrative Access link Under Security option

[4] Click on Add New Network.

[5] Enter the IP address you wish to allow or block in the IP address field

[6] Click on Ok

Note: You can also use * to specify a range of IP address. For example, 100.100..

[7] You can also add as many IP address as you want.

[8] Select Allowed, excluding the networks in the list – To block administrator access to Plesk control panel so the IP addresses you have entered cannot login in Plesk control panel.

[9] Select Denied from the networks that are not listed – To allow administrator access to Plesk control panel only to the IP addresses you have entered only can login in Plesk control panel.

[10] Click on Set

Note : If blocking access to only the IP addresses in the list, make sure you that use a static IP address, rather than a dynamic IP address, otherwise you could have difficulty accessing Plesk if your internet service provider issues you with a new IP address.

To block an access to websites for a specific IP address :

[1] Login to Plesk control panel as administrator

[2] Click on Tool & Settings in Server Management Menu

[3] Click on Firewall under Security option

[4] Click on Firewall rules

[5] Select Switch on the rule

[6] Enter The rule name

[7] Enter Profiles

[8] Choose Allow or deny in action field

[9] Set the port or the port range, mark TCP or UDP protocol according to the needs

[10] Add the IP address to field Add IP address or network

[11] Click on Add button ; the added IP address will be displayed on the left side.

[12] Click on Ok.
