How to Copy an Account from Another Server with Account Password in WHM?
Web host manager is web-based control panel administrating the Linux server, it is more easy way to using the Linux Server rather than using the more complex commands in the server, with all the options to create, manage cpanel accounts and set certain global setting that apply to all accounts.
This interface also having the option as “Copy an Account from Another Server with Account Password” which will attempt to copy an account from a remote server with an account other than the root account.
Procedure to Copy an Single Account from Another Server to our server
1. Login to the WHM by using
https://servername:2087http://servername:2086
2. Select Copy an Account From Another Server With an Account Password option under “Transfers” (Home »Transfers »Copy an Account From Another Server With an Account Password)
3. Under Settings we need to set below details
a] Server to copy from (IP or FQDN): IP address of remote server
If the site is not reachable and the server is online, this should be the address of the server that contains the account.
b] Username to copy: cPanel username
Enter the cPanel username of the account you’re copying over, followed by that account’s password.
c] User’s password: cPanel password d] To give the account a dedicated IP address on the target server, select the Give new account an IP address checkbox.
e] Click “Copy account”
The tool will function very well for a single cPanel account if the servers can reach each other and the source server supports a generation of backups from the cPanel account.
