How to use Address importer under Email section in cPanel ?
Address importer feature allows you to use two types of files (.xls or .csv) to create multiple email forwarders or addresses for one account simultaneously. Inorder to import data Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files (.xls) or comma-separated values sheet (CSV) files (.csv) can be used.
Please follow the below steps to create multiple email forwarders or addresses for one account simultaneously.
[1] Create the import file
To create the import file, a list of email addresses and passwords has to be added in spreadsheet or plain text files. For each account forwarder, in order to separate the information for each account or forwarder you may use a separate row in the spreadsheet or a new line in the plain text file.
Inorder to create multiple email forwarders or addresses, import the following data :
username : Username of the email address such as ‘demo’ or ‘demo@example.com’. The domain portion of the mail id is notrequired.
Password : Password of the email address which you want to import.
Quota : Quota of the email address [ for example 250, indicates 250 Megabytes]
If you want to import the file in a plain text file, then save file with the .csv extension. When you use a plain text file, separate the email address, passwords and Quotas using commas (,), periods (.), or any other character (delimiter).
Example .csv file :
demo1@example.com, Password, 250
demo2@example.com, Password, 250
demo3@example.com, Password, 250
