How to edit the DNS zone templates in WHM?

The Zone Template Editor will allow you to edit the default zones that are used when creating DNS entries.

Procedure

1. Login to your WHM
2. Go to the DNS Functions category in the menu
3. Click Edit Zone Templates
4. In this page you can to able to view the following three templates
   (i) simple – Domains with an A entry only
   (ii) standard – Domains on a dedicated IP address, parked domains, and addon domains (one most often used by cPanel/WHM)
   (iii) standardvirtualftp – Domains on a shared IP address
   (iv) Thses templates are just like a DNS zone, but with a number of variables that will be replaced when a real zone is generated. These variables are delimited by percentage signs, such as with %domain% and %ttl%
5. When finished modifying the template to your wish , click Save.
