How to take Backup of the database and Upload or Restore it using Plesk Panel?

A database file containing a database structure and content.In earlier Plesk versions, database file could be created only using database management tools like phpMyAdmin or myLittleAdmin. Plesk comes with easy way to create database, upload them, and take backup of the previously created database on the server.

In Plesk, to export a database file means to take backup of a source database in a file which can be used for storage or distribution. To import a database means to upload database from the file to a destination database. You can import a database to the same or another database server. The only restriction is that the destination database should be of the same type, for example, MySQL.

you can take the backup of the database from Plesk control panel using the below procedure.

1.Login into your Plesk Control Panel.
2.Click on Subscriptions
3.Click on Subscription name
4.Click on Databases
5.Click on name of the database you wish to backup or download in your local machine or plesk control panel
6.Click on Export Dump
7.To save a database in a certain directory on the plesk server or on your local computer, select the directory.
8.Click on Ok

you can restore the database in Plesk control panel using the below procedure.

1.Login into your Plesk Control Panel.
2.Click on Subscriptions
3.Click on Subscription name
4.Click on Databases
5.Click on the Database name for which you need to restore
6.Click on Import Dump
7.Choose the Path where you need to upload the database backup from your local computer
8.Click on Upload
9.Click on Browse
10.Click on Ok
