How do I Add a domain name [ or host a domain name ] in my Reseller Account WHM ?

Reseller WHM has direct option to host the domain in the Server. Linux Reseller Web Hosting allows you to host (or) create multiple domains in the WHM using this option.

Procedure

Reseller Hosting Domain Adding Procedure

In your Reseller account , you can create a new account (or) new domain under your WHM by using the below procedure.

1. Login to the WHM
2. Home »Account Functions »Create a New Account

Create a New Account

Domain Information

Domain: Supply the domain name [ Example : demodomain.com ]
Username: Supply the user name [ Must be less than 8 chars ]
Password: Supply the password [ Please use tough password such as sdfiur3#^&ERF#0fr, Simple passwords not accepted ]
Re-type Password: Retype password
Email: Contact email id. This id will receive notification in usage, abuse, suspension etc. Hence keep an email that is in use and outside this domain and server

Package

Choose a Package : Choose the package you have created. If not created, please go to Add Packages link and create the package first.
Select Options Manually: Must always be unchecked

Settings

cPanel Theme: Paper_Lantern
Locale : English

DNS Settings

Enable DKIM on this account : Must always be checked
Enable SPF on this account (v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4: ?all): Must Always be checked
Use the nameservers specified at the Domain’s Registrar : Must always be unchecked
(ignore locally specified nameservers)
Overwrite any existing DNS zones for the account: Must always be unchecked

Mail Routing Settings [ Do not change any settings. Leave it as it is ]

Automatically Detect Configuration (recommended) more »
Local Mail Exchanger more »

I can’t able to Login to my Reseller Account WHM using My Main Domain Name ?

Error :

web page not available.

Solution :

Check whether the Main Domain is pointing to the proper nameservers and A record which is provided by your Web Hosting Provider. Use the below URL to find out the nameserver pointing,

https://intodns.com/

If it is not pointing to then you can’t able to use that doamin as a URL to access Your Reseller Account WHM.

 

How to change the Domain Name in My WHM ?

Changing the domainname is not possible in shared hosting environment. Because change in domainname will affect all web site content, emails, databases, and everything you have done on the server so far.

Solution : 

The only solution for this is to create a new account with the desired domainname and upload files.

How to Change Username of My Domain In WHM ?

Changing the Username is not possible in shared hosting environment. Because change in username will affect all web site content, emails, databases, and everything you have done on the server so far.

Solution : 

The only solution for this is to terminate the hosting account, and then recreate it with the desired user name.

How to Set Default Nameserver In WHM ?

To change the nameservers to ns1.yourdomain , ns2.yourdomain in the WHM panel, kindly use the below steps.

1. Login to the WHM
2. Go to Home »Server Configuration »Basic cPanel & WHM Setup
3. Change the Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2 to ns1.yourdomain , ns2.yourdomain >> Save changes.

All the domains which you will host under your WHM will be allocated with the above nameservers.

I am getting Account Creation Status Failed Error while Adding the Domain In My WHM

Error :

Account Creation Status Failed . A DNS entry for “domainname” already exists. You
must remove this DNS entry from all servers in the DNS cluster to
proceed.

Reason :  

The Username is already exists in the server or DNS zone for the domain was existing in the server which you are trying to create in the WHM.

Solution :

Contact the hosting service provider and ask them to remove the DNS entry and then you can proceed for that domain creation in WHM.
