How to set filter to receive spam mails in separate folder in cPanel server ?

Silicon House provides very cheap reseller web hosting plan with the Web Host Manager (WHM) using that you can create unlimited cpanel accounts.  Spam mails or junk mails are the mails that fill your inbox majorly nowadays and creating huge problem to identify the important mail. spam messages can contain virus attachments or malicious links. You can easily set filter to receive spam mails in separate folder. cPanel provides the different ways to separate the genuine mails from the spam mails.


To create a spam filter in cPanel, perform the following steps:

1. Login to cPanel.

2. Click Apache SpamAssassin icon under Email Section.

3. Click on the “Enable Spam Assassin” link.

4. Spam Auto-Delete option automatically removes the emails which meet or exceed the spam score set. In order to set it, navigate to Apache SpamAssassin menu and go to Filters widget.

5. To enable the filter, Click on Auto-Delete Spam button.

6. You can set the required score in a drop-down menu (from 1 to 10).

Important note : If you want tighten settings you can give lesser number Ex : less than 5

Spam Box is enabled. Spam Box will direct all new email messages with a calculated spam score greater than the Threshold  value to a separate folder. Spam Box will deliver any emails that the system identifies as spam into a separate mail folder named spam 

Click Save.

Email Filters to filter spam mails :

1. Login to cPanel.

2. Click Email filters icon under Email Section.

3.Click on manage email filters.

4. To create a filter >>set the Filter Name >> Set the Required Rules >> Set the required folder in the Actions  to receive the spam mails.

5.Click on create.
