How to set permissions for a file/folder in DirectAdmin ?


Reseller Web Hosting Linux is provided with DirectAdmin Hosting Control Panel. Clients can set permissions for their files and folders in this user panel. This article will show you how to set permissions for their files and folders in DirectAdmin control panel.


Procedure

How to set permissions for a file/folder in DirectAdmin ?

1. Login to your DirectAdmin control panel via the URL [ https://servername:2223/ or https://serverip:2223/ ]
2. Click on File Manager under System Info & Files.
3. Click on Domains >> Domain name >> public_html.
4. Place the mouse pointer in the file/folder name.
5. Click on Set Permissions.
6. Enter your permissions. [ Note: By default the file permission should be 644 and the folder permission should be 750 or 755.]
7. Click on set.

You have successfully set the permission for file/folder in your domain.
