How do I access Terminal via WHM in Dedicated Server ?

Linux Dedicated Server allows you to host mulitple websites under your web hosting space. Linux Dedicated Server comes with full root access where you will be having control to make any changes at any time.

cPanel & WHM’s new in-browser terminal application provides direct command-line access within a cPanel & WHM session in version 72.

As we are accessing the terminal from the WHM we are logging to the command line as root user. This faster and easier successor using a Terminal than with graphical applications and menus.

Please follow the below steps to access terminal interface in browser from WHM.

1) Login to WHM.

2) Go to the option “Server Configuration”.

3) Now you will see some server configuration option, from that click the option “Terminal”.

4) If you are accessing the terminal for the first time, a screen will appear with a below warning message.

This interface provides command line access to the server’s “root” account.
Warning
Exercise extreme caution if you use this interface. Misuse of command line tools can destroy data or even render your server unusable.

5) Please click on the button “I understand and want to proceed”.

6) Now you can see “This interface provides command line access to the server’s “root” account.”

That’s it!!.

Now you are Terminal of the Server. You can Excute the commands and proceed.
