How to add an Additional IP address in WHM?

Silicon House Dedicated Servers are powered by free Unlimited cPanel and Unlimited WHM. Dedicated Servers comes with full root access where you will be get a control to make any changes at anytime. In this way you can able to add an Additional IP address via WHM.

Kindly refer the below procedure to add a new IP address :

[1] Login to WHM as a root
[2] Click Add a New IP Address under IP Functions

This option will allow you to add a single IP or a range of IPs

[3] Enter an IP address in the field “New IP or IP range to add”

Note: As you enter the IP, you’ll see a red indicator warning you the IP or IP range is invalid. This indicator will turn into a green check when it recognizes a valid entry.

[4] Select a Subnet Mask in the filed “Select a subnet mask for the IP or IPs above to use”

For example, we might enter the IP X.X.X.X as our additional IP, and if this IP is a part of the X.X.X.X/Y subnet, then we would use the 255.255.255.0 subnet mask. If you’re not sure, please contact your network administrator.

[5] Click Submit

When you click the “Submit”, you will receive a “success” message box from the lower right of the page. Now the IP address has been added in the server and ready to be used.

Also you can verify that the IP address has been added in the WHM by using below procedure:

[1] Login to WHM as a root
[2] Click Show IP Address Usage under IP Functions

Now you can able to see the IP addresses which has been added in the server
