How do I Allow my Local IP in Host Access Control ?

Dedicated Server have the security option called Host Access Control. For SSH access of the server , it is necessary to allow our local IP address in this option. It is used to restrict the unwanted SSH access of the server.

Procedure

Allowing IP in Host Access Control  In Dedicated Server

 

To Allow IP in Host Access Control to access the SSH of the Dedicated Server :

——————————————————————————————–

i)Login to your WHM

ii)Click on Home »Security Center »Host Access Control

iii)Add the IP for which you want to provide access to the server in the line which is above to deny . (i.e the IP added below the deny command line will not be accepted.)

iv)Click on save Access Control List.

How to restrict the cPanel access for the particular IP ?

Solution : 

To restrcit the cPanel access go to the path,

Home » Security Center » Host Access Control

There you can able to see the option ,

Daemon      »  cpaneld

Access List  » IP address

Action         » Allow

After this line put deny line. Hence all the IP’s will be blocked other than the above IP address. From the allowed IP address only you can able to access the cPanel.

How to make the cPanel access as IP restricted ?

Solution : 

To restrict the cPanel access according to IP , Go to the path,

Home » Security Center » Host Access Control

In this option you have to give like below to access the cPanel .

Daemon      »   cpaneld

Access List  »  IP address

Action          » Allow

After this line you can put the deny line . Hence other that the allowed IP address , the cpanel will not be accessible.
