Bandwidth usage of a domain how could be restricted?
Linux dedicated servers comes with full root access where the customization is possible as per the user’s requirement. Since the dedicated servers comes with full root access where you can create unlimited WHM accounts and unlimited cPanel accounts. Also user can allocate disk space and bandwidth usage for each and every domains as per their client requirement. Linux server allows the users to create package for each and every domain and manipulation of that package is easily achievable by using the various functionalities of WHM.
Kindly follow the below procedure to restrict bandwidth usage of a particular domain in dedicated servers,
1.Login to WHM
2.Click on limit bandwidth usage option under account functions
3.Enter the domain name in limit bandwidth of an account and click on limit
4.In the text box you can update the bandwidth limit and click on change
You can also restrict the bandwidth the usage while creating the package itself,
Use the procedure,
Go to WHM
[1] Under Packages, Click on Add Package
[2] Supply the necessary information and Click on Create
Package Name : Supply any name
Quota : supply space allotted [ example : 10 mb ]
Bandwidth Limit : In Mb. Example 50 Mb
Max Ftp Accounts : no of ftp accounts [ example : 1 ]
Max Email Accounts : no of emails [ example : 4 ]
Max Email Lists : no [ zero ]
Max SQL Databases : no of databases [ MYSQL ] [example : 1]
Max Sub Domains : no of sub domains like support.yourdomain.com [ example : 1]
Max Parked Domains : no [ zero ]
Ip : no [ keep unchecked ]
Cgi Access : yes [ keep checked ]
Cpanel Theme : x3
Feature List : default
Locale : English
[3] You have successfully created the package
Whenever if you wish to modify the resources you can use the below procedure to edit the package,
1.Login to WHM
2.Click on edit a package option under package
3.Choose the package which you want to edit
4.Modify the bandwidth according to your wish
