How can I Change My Mail server settings In Dedicated Server ?

Linux Dedicated Server have the option to change the mail server settings according to our requierment. It have all the main settings of the mail server.  Once if you made any changes in this settings then the mail server will be restarted automatically.

Changing Mail Server Configuration In Dedicated Server

To Change Mail Server Settings in Dedicated Server , Follow the below procedure,

1. Login to the Dedicated Server WHM as root user.

2. Go to the path,

Home » Service Configuration » Mailserver Configuration

3. There you can able to see many options which is related to Mail server like Maximum POP3 Connections and Maximum Number of Mail Processes settings .

4. You can change the setting according to the requirement.

5. After that click ” Save ” in order to reflect the changes in the Mail server

Getting error : File open for /home/usrname/etc/domainname/passwd No such file or directory

Error :

File open for /home/username/etc/domainname/passwd failed with error No such file or directory

Reason :

If the etc folder is not present under /home/username  you will get the above error, while creating the email accounts.

Solution:

In order to solve the issue, Create the etc folder under /home/username.

Click Folder >>New Folder Name: etc >>New Folder will be created in: /home/username  >>Click Create a New folder and try to create a new Email account.
