How do I deny Country code in ConfigServer Firewall ?
Linux Fully Managed Dedicated Server comes with full root access and standard cPanel/ WHM where you will get a control to make any changes at anytime. You will also get a SSH access to manage via SSH.
A firewall is a system that provides network security by filtering incoming and outgoing network traffic based on a set of user-defined rules.
In the event you need to block a whole country, this can be done via the CC_DENY option located within ConfigServer Security & Firewall.
CSF-Config Server Firewall helps you to block the certain country code in the ConfigServer Firewall.
Via WHM:-
1. Login to the WHM as a root
2. Go to “ConfigServer Security & Firewall” under Plugins option
3. Click on “Firewall Configuration” under ‘csf – ConfigServer Firewall’
4. Choose “CC_DENY = ” option under ‘Country Code Lists and Settings’
5. Now you can give the Country code which you want to block as “PK”
Example : CC_DENY = PK
6. Scroll down click on Change
7. It will show as “Changes saved. You should restart both csf and lfd.”. After that Click on “Restart csf+lfd”
Now specified country code has been blocked in the Server Firewall. From here the country or countries added will no longer be able to access the server.
