Linux Web Hosting Downloading Mails via Outlook Procedure
You can able to download the mails from your Email id to your local system by configuring your email id in the third party email client like outlook , thuderbird , etc. . .
Please follow the below procedure to connect with outlook .
Outlook Configuration

1. Launch Outlook Express
2. Click on Tools menu
3. Click on E-mail Accounts
4. Click on add anew Email Account and click on next
5. Click on POP3 and Enter the below details,
In User Information :
6. Enter Your Name [ Ex. test ]
7. Enter your existing email ID [ Ex. test@demo.com ]
In Logon Information :
8. User name : test@demo.com
9. Password : give password
In Server Information:
10. Incoming Mail Server : mail.yourdomainname.com ( or ) IP Address of the server
11. Outgoing SMTP: mail.yourdomainname.com ( or ) IP Address of the server
12. Click on More Settings
In that Click on Outgoing Server
13. Select/Check My outgoing server(SMTP) Requires Authentication
14. Select/Check use same settings as incoming server
15. You have to use the port number as 25 for outgoing email server (SMTP) and 110 for incoming mail server (POP3).
16. Click on remember password
17. Click OK
18. Click on next and finish.
19. Click on SEND/RECEIVE menu in tools option >> Choose Receive All.
20. Click on unread messages to read your mails .
Please follow the below procedure to configure Thunderbird Email Client
If you are running thunderbird for the first time and have not imported any settings from another email client, you will be presented with the New Account Setup window
Select the type of account you would like to set up as email account
Click on Next> button
In the identity window, fill in your name and email address, then click the Next> button
In the next Server information window,select the type of incoming server as IMAP
Enter the name of your incoming server
Enter the name of your outgoing server
Click on Next> button
On the User Names Screen,you will fill in your ECE Unix username. This will be the same for both the Incoming username and Outgoing username
Click the Next> button
The next screen is for the Account Name.You can fill in whatever you want,or keep the default (which is what you previously filled in for your email address)
Click the Next> button
Finally, the congratulations window will show you what you have filled out
Check through to make sure you have the correct settings
Click the Finish button
When the wizard closes,you may see a message window pop up asking if you want Thunderbird set as the default mail application
If you do not want to perform this check again,then check next to “Do not display this dialog again”
If you want to set it as your default, then click the Yes button
If you do not want to set it as your default, then click the No button
In the Account settings section,when Thunderbird starts up, it will probably try connecting to the mail server immediately.
There are a few things that you will need to make sure are configured before you will be able to connect to the mail server
Go to the Tools menu
Select Account Settings
On the left side,select Server Settings and make sure that you have the following filled out:
Server name
Port
User Name
Check next to Use secure connection
For the rest of the settings on this screen, fill in what you want
Select Outgoing server (SMTP) on the left side and make sure that you have the faolowing filled out
Server Name
Port
Check next to User name and password
User Name : fill in your ECE Unix username
Use secure connection: select TLS
Click OK
Now you are back at the main Thunderbird window.Click on the Get Mail button which is in the top left corner to connect to the mail server
A window will pop up asking for your password.Enter your ECE Unix password and click OK
Now you can read your ECE email .
