Reason for Spam Mails:

Please note that the possibility of such a spam origination could be in two locations

1. A remote attacker sends email with your user name and password
2. It originated from the system where this email id has been configured

We suggested the following;

1. Change the password of the email to a stronger one
2. Remove the email id

why this is happening ?

1. The passwords of emails might be weak that it makes easier for an attacker to crack the password and then send mails thro it.
2. The network which uses the email id is infected

To Prevent Spam Mails in cPanel Server :

1. To prevent forged mails, you can create SPF record for the domain as well as DKIM.
2. To make your spam control strict, please start using mail filter in the cpanel and change the spam assassin score to the lower value. But not less than 3 as the spam assassin will become stricter.
3. Keep the password of the email ID to a stronger one
4. Keep your local system free from virus and malware
5. Always use genuine OS in your system
6. Use anti-virus,firewall and anti-malware tools to protect your system
7. Always use tough passwords like 3r48d*#R#T&3023r
8. Keep Changing the passwors for mail, ftp, whm, cpanel etc regularly
