How do I set Name server for Domain Name ?
Linux Web Hosting Plan will comes with cPanel as control panel. To make the control panel’s domain name work you have to set particular Name server which is given by your hosting provider. So that the domain will work from your hosting provider’s server.
To make your site live pointing A record IP alone is enough. But A record should be configured from the panel of the domain where its nameserver is pointing. You can set name server for your domain from the domain control panel where it is registered. Once you pointed the name server A record will be taken as default from the panel where the name server are pointed. If you want you can login to the hosting panel of the domain where the name server are pointing and change the A record with the help of your hosting provider.
You can follow the below procedure to change the Default name server as your Hosting panel’s Server name for your domain.
1.Login to the domain control panel of the domain where it is registered
2.Change the name server as below,
ns1.servername.com
ns2.servername.com
3. If you are changed the namesevers recently,it will take 24-48 hours to reflect in all ISPs.
You can follow the below procedure to set your own Private or Personal name server for your domain.
1.Login to the domain control panel of the domain where it is registered
2.First register your own nameserver as below by contacting your domain registrar and register it as below,
ns1.yourdomainname.com [‘Server IP’]
ns2.yourdomainname.com [‘Server IP’]
3.Once the Private or Personal nameserver registered successfully you can set your domain name as your nameserver as below,
ns1.yourdomainname.com
ns2.yourdomainname.com
4.If you are changed the name sever recently,it will take 24-48 hours to reflect in all ISPs.
Once the nameserver reflected it will work from the concern server to which you have pointed the nameserver. You can start upload the files now to make the site live.
