How do I Enable brute force protection in Dedicated Server ?

Dedicated Server allows the user to Enable/Disable the brute force protection . It if is in on then brute force protection of your server has been enabled and it will restrict the some IP address from which continuous connections originating.

Enabling Brute Force Protection In Dedicated Server

Brute Force Protection has been enabled using the below procedure in Dedicated Server,

1.Login to the WHM as root user.

2. Go to the path,

Home » Security Center » cPHulk Brute Force Protection

3. Here you have to move the button and set on.

4. Now cPanel Brute Force Protection has been enabled.

Modseurity not working properly in dedicated server ?

Reason :

In dedicated server after updating the modsecurity rules it is not working properly.

Check whether the rules present in the server.

Check whether you can able to restart httpd without any errors’

If you got any error then you need to contact the service provider.

 

 

Not able to access the sites in many places

Solution :

If brute force protection has been enabled in the server then you can’t able to access the site in many places. It will restirct the access for from some of the ISP based on some security parameters.

In those situation you need to disable the brute force protection and check at your end.
