Procedure

Procedure to Upload files in my web site via FTP :

Windows Unlimited Reseller Web Hosting comes with Plesk Control Panel . You will be able to upload the files via FTP Software such as FILEZILLA . Please follow the below procedure to upload the files using the FTP Software

Please download ftp software like Filezilla.

[1] Click on File >> Site Manager
[2] Click on New Site option

Supply the following details

Host : ftp.domainname ( or ) ip
port : 21
Protocol: FTP-File Transfer Protocol
Encryption: Only use plain FTP (inescure).
Logon Type : Normal
User : your ftp user name
password : your ftp password

[3] Click on connect.
[4] Now you should be able to view the local system in left side and server in the right side
[5] You can now start uploading the contents in your httpdocs directory.

I am getting Failed to retrieve directory listing in FTP [ Filezilla ]

Error :

Failed to retrieve directory listing

Solution :

1] Go to Filezilla.
2] Click on File >> Site Manager.
3] Click on the tab Transfer settings.
4] Choose the Transfer mode as active.
5] Click on connect.

Even if you face the same error,try the above procedure with the passive mode.

I am getting error ” Connection Timed out ” while connecting FTP via Filezilla software

Solution :

To resolve this issue kindly increase the time out period and check at your end.

[1] Open Filezilla
[2] Click Editt >> Settings
[3] Increase the timeout period and then try to upload the files at your end

I am getting Could not connect to server or Critical error [ Filezilla ]

Error :

Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

Solution :

Please recheck your username and password and make sure that you are using valid login details.

You can also change the password using below procedure,

[1] Access your control panel at https://www.yourdomain.com:8443 [ Example :https://www.servername:8443 ]
[2] Click on Domains.
[3] Click on Domain name.
[4] Click on Webhosting Access.
[5] Change the FTP password.
[6] Click on ok.
