How do I Create the SSH key for my Dedicated Server ?

Linux Dedicated Server have the facility to create the SSH key , which can be used instead of password and using this key we can able to login to the server without the password. For security reasons it is not advisable to use generally.

Procedure

Creating SSH key In Dedicated Server

Dedicated Server SSH key generation via WHM is possible using the below Steps,

1. Login to the Dedicated Server WHM as root user.

2. Go to the path,

Home » Security Center » Manage root’s SSH Keys

3. Here you can able to see the option ” Generate a New Key “. Click that option .

4. It will ask the details to generate the key . Here you have to give the root password of your dedicated server.

5. After entering the details click ” Generate Key ” . Now you will get the SSH key of your dedicated server.
