How do I Login to Dedicated Server SSH ?

Login To Dedicated Server SSH

To connect to Dedicated Server SSH, please follow the below procedure,

1. You can download the putty software from the website www.putty.org and install it in your system.

2. After installing it, Launch putty and enter the below details.

Host name (or IP address) : Give the server IP
Port : Give the port number

Click on open

3. After that it asks to enter the username. Give as the username which was given by the service provider. After that copy the user password and go to the putty, in password field if you click the right button of the mouse and press enter, the password will be placed and logged in to shell as super user.

4. Then type su – and then press Enter and copy the root password and click the right button of the mouse and press enter, the password will be placed and logged into the server. Then you can goto the tmp directory and proceed .

5. Before login to SSH , you have to allow your local internet IP in the WHM host access control.

6. Get your Local internet IP address using the URL , http://getmyip.co.in , then allow that IP address in the Host Access Control and save it.
